Partnerships
To amplify its impact, BHEF partners with other organizations, where appropriate. BHEF currently is collaborating with the Business Roundtable, the National Governors Association, and America's leading universities and foundations to advance its initiatives.
In addition, BHEF is a member of the Business Coalition for Student Achievement (BCSA), which works to support the reauthorization of No Child Left Behind (NCLB). BHEF also belongs to the 16-business organization coalition, Tapping America's Potential (TAP), which seeks to double the number of graduates with STEM degrees by 2015. We collaborate with the Business Roundtable and the Council on Competitiveness, among others, on issues pertaining to innovation and global competitiveness. We are an endorsing partner of the Data Quality Campaign in our work to advance longitudinal data systems. Our organization actively participates in the STEM Education Coalition, a diverse advocacy group representing all sectors of the high technology workforce. BHEF is also member of the umbrella higher education association, the American Council Education.
In the late 1990's, BHEF participated in a series of international conferences bringing together leaders from industry and higher education. These meetings led to BHEF’s establishing partnerships with similar organizations in other countries. Today, BHEF continues to regularly collaborate with the Council for Industry and Higher Education of Great Britain and the Business-University Forum of Japan, and share research and programmatic implementation strategies.
