BHEF is an organization of Fortune 500 CEOs, prominent college and university presidents, and foundation leaders working to advance innovative solutions to our nation's education challenges in order to enhance U.S. competitiveness.

Leadership

The leadership of BHEF consists of a chairman and a vice chairman.  For 2006-2008, Herbert M. Allison, Jr., who is chairman, president and CEO of TIAA-CREF, serves as chairman of BHEF.  David J. Skorton, president of Cornell University, is vice chair. 

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee serves as the Board of Directors for the Forum, and is responsible for approving all major policies and operating plans of the organization. It includes the chairman, vice chairman, immediate past chairman, and at least four members chosen from the business community and four members chosen from the academic community.
