Tuesday, October 18, 2016

On October 18, 2016, BHEF and the Lowell Institute School at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies hosted a Cybersecurity Industry Roundtable: Creating Aligned and Relevant Pathways for Students in Boston, Massachusetts. This roundtable convened representatives from community colleges and industry in high-priority sectors, such as manufacturing, healthcare, and defense, to learn about cybersecurity sector trends as well as national and regional workforce needs, explore sector-specific cybersecurity skill needs, learn about Northeastern’s plans in cybersecurity, and identify opportunities for industry to provide ongoing support and expertise. The work between BHEF and member Northeastern University helped further the work being done in Massachusetts with a grant from the National Science Foundation.
