The Business-Higher Education Forum (BHEF) is building a dynamic network of part-time consultants to support a range of upcoming projects at the intersection of education, workforce development, and regional economic growth. We are seeking experienced professionals with proven expertise in one or more key areas critical to our work: competency mapping and skills analysis, regional workforce partnership development, credential development, and initiative management.
Ideal candidates are mission-driven, collaborative, and ready to contribute to high-impact initiatives alongside leading employers, colleges and universities, and regional economic stakeholders. We are especially interested in individuals with experience supporting cross-sector collaborations that drive inclusive talent development and align education and training systems with evolving labor market needs.
Consultants in our network may be engaged on a part-time basis for short-term or longer-term assignments, depending on project needs, and will be matched based on their specific areas of expertise. We are looking for professionals with strengths and experiences in one or more of the following:
- Competency Mapping and Occupational Analysis: Experience using structured methods (e.g., DACUM, BILT, or similar) to translate employer input and labor market skills data into clear competency maps and skill frameworks that inform curriculum design and credentialing efforts.
- Regional Workforce Partnerships and Credential Development: Skill in convening and facilitating business and education stakeholders to co-create short-term credentials, work-based learning models, and career pathways aligned with quality job opportunities.
- Project Management and Initiative Coordination: Ability to manage multi-stakeholder initiatives with precision—overseeing timelines, deliverables, and communications to ensure smooth execution and measurable impact.
