Commonwealth Data Analytics and Humanities Summit

On October 17-18, 2016, BHEF and the Virginia Governor’s Office hosted a Commonwealth Data Analytics and Humanities Summit in Williamsburg, Virginia. This summit convened leadership and trans-disciplinary teams from colleges and universities across Virginia to learn about data science and its application in the liberal arts, understand current and future plans to embed data science into the liberal arts, share William & Mary’s initiatives in data science, and identify opportunities for ongoing coordination and collaboration. The partnership between BHEF and the Commonwealth of Virginia was an exciting success in furthering the efforts being done in the state as part of its work in data science.
