BHEF is hosting a webinar to launch its Data Science and Analytics (DSA)-Enabled Graduate Competency Map. This first version of the DSA-Enabled Graduate Competency Map provides higher education, business, and students with an actionable common framework to enable students and new graduates to develop DSA skills and more easily transition into the workforce and apply those skills. It assists higher education in mapping existing curricula or current learning outcomes in DSA to understand alignment and identify gaps and developing new educational courses or programs to fill identified gaps. The competency map can also help businesses prioritize competencies for a project/employee by linking them to business/research objectives and align job families and descriptions to appropriate competencies.

This webinar will describe the process used to develop the map, give an overview of the competencies, and explore the application of the competency map for both higher education and employers.  The webinar will also provide information on how participants can offer feedback to BHEF on the competency map.

BHEF is excited to host this webinar on the DSA-Enabled Graduate Competency Map, which was developed over the past year through a series of three convenings hosted by BHEF that brought together over 50 different government, business, and academic stakeholders with a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

Space is limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
