BHEF Convening Series FAQs
ABOUT THE BHEF CONVENING SERIES
What is the BHEF Convening Series?
BHEF’s Convening Series is its twice annual signature gathering for its network partners. Each spring and fall, BHEF network partners come together for dynamic, in-depth conversations in an intimate, off-the-record event. Convenings are invitation only, and all BHEF network partners are invited.
Who attends the convening?
The convening is presented and hosted by BHEF network partners listed here. The event brings together around 100 curated attendees depending on our host site and topic. Attendees typically represent:
- Corporate executives interested in talent issues and workforce planning
- Higher education presidents, chancellors, provosts, and cabinet members representing public and private universities, colleges, state systems, independent institutions, and community colleges
- Policy leaders and strategic partners such as governors, senators, federal cabinet secretaries, labor and education think tank executives, and workforce and education program leaders
- Strategic education technology and HR technology partners
Where is the convening?
The Fall 2025 Convening will be held at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center (GLC).
REGISTERING FOR THE CONVENING
My organization is a BHEF Network Partner or a convening sponsor. How do I request a ticket?
As an invitation-only event, access to the online registration form requires a password. Passwords are sent to our network partners’ main points of contact on file with BHEF. If you have not received your registration code, please contact convening@bhef.com using the subject line ‘Convening Registration Code.' BHEF network partners and convening sponsors receive guaranteed admission and priority access to BHEF’s hotel block (based on availability) for up to two attendees if registered by Friday, August 29th. After Friday, August 29th, additional attendees from network partners will receive priority waitlist consideration and all remaining tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
My organization is not a BHEF network partner or convening sponsor. How do I request a ticket?
The best way to secure a ticket is to join BHEF as a network partner or convening sponsor by Friday, August 29th. All BHEF network partners and sponsors who have committed by then receive an automatic allocation to attend the event. If your organization cannot join in time for the event, you can still request a meeting invite. Please complete the “Request an Invitation” form on our website. Everyone who completes the form is added to our waitlist. Those on the waitlist will be notified after September 2, 2025, of their invitation to join. The waitlist is reviewed on a rolling basis. Invitations are extended as openings become available. Representatives from organizations that join BHEF as a network partner or sponsor will receive priority consideration on the waitlist.
Is the event open to the public? Is there a remote or livestream option?
No, the event is not open to the public. BHEF convenings are invitation-only, in-person events for the BHEF network, partners, and their invited guests. The event is generally closed to the press*, not recorded, and follows Chatham House rules.
How much are registration fees for the convening?
For network partners and convening sponsors: No registration cost. Tickets are complimentary as part of your contribution to the organization and include on-site meals. Travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the attendee. Attendees are strongly encouraged to reserve rooms in BHEF’s hotel block.
For all other invited attendees, the registration fee is $1,495. For representatives from higher education institutions attending the P3•EDU conference, a 25% discount is available. Please contact the P3•EDU meeting organizations for more information about this offer.
Can I bring a colleague or guest?
For network partners and convening sponsors: Each BHEF network partner and convening sponsor has one allocation for a no-cost guest attendee. Guest invitee allocations and invitation materials are sent to the main point of contact for the organization’s partnership with BHEF. Space is limited. Additionally, network partners and sponsors may invite additional staff or guests above their two-person allocation for a 50% discount.
If you are not sure if your organization has received its allocation, please email convening@bhef.com.
I registered for the event but can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable. However, BHEF network partners and sponsors may transfer their tickets to another member of their team. Email convening@bhef.com with the subject line ‘Ticket Transfer’ to start your transfer. All transfers must be submitted by Friday, October 10th, to be approved in advance. Requests for transfers afterwards will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
What is the registration deadline?
BHEF network partners and sponsors should complete their ticket registration and hotel accommodations using the BHEF room block by Friday, August 29th. All registrations received by then will be guaranteed. All hotel reservations made by then will be guaranteed until the room block is full.
How does the waitlist work?
BHEF sustainers, members, and sponsors will receive priority for tickets and priority access to BHEF’s hotel block (based on availability) until Friday, August 29th. After that date, BHEF will invite individuals who are waitlisted on a rolling basis. Invitations will be extended based on criteria such as: representative of a current BHEF member institution, invited guest of a current BHEF member champion, attendance at P3•EDU (for Fall 2025 only), professional experience relevant to the agenda or agenda themes, or similar criteria.
